Registration of business associations, i.e. holdings, consortia
A consortium is a contractual association of traders for the purpose of carrying out a specific activity. Such association may be registered as a professional partnership (sociétécivile) under the Obligations and Contracts Act or as a trading company under the Commerce Act.
A holding company is a joint-stock company, a limited joint-stock partnership or a limited liability company whose purpose is to participate in any form in other companies or in the management thereof. The holding company may or may not carry out manufacturing or commercial activities of its own.
